Coussin champignon pastel au crochet avec du coton natura Xl de DMC

Coussin champignon pastel au crochet avec du coton natura Xl de DMC

Passo a passo :

A huge thanks to Emeline of Les agrumes blogspot for that tutorial.

Before starting

In that tutorial, many technical words are going to be used: close-spacing mesh, drop-stich mesh, air flow mesh, magic circle, reduction, augmentation.

Important Information before starting:

To create that hooked pillow, you will need to add a air flow mesh at the end of each rank before to turn your creation and to begin another rank.

That air flow mesh doesn't count in the total indicated between brackets.

STEP 1

Begin by the mushrooms'top with Light rose natura cotton XL:

Rank 1 : Do a small chain of 9 air flow meshes  + 1 air flow mesh in order to turn your creation on the other side. (9 meshes)

Step 2

Realize ranks from the 2nd to the 36th by following those instructions:

Rg 2 : 1 augmentation, 7 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (11 meshes)

Rg 3 : 1 augmentation, 9 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (13 meshes)

Rg 4 : 1 augmentation, 11 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (15 meshes)

Rg 5 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (15 meshes)

Rg 6 : 1 augmentation, 14 close-spacing meshes (16 meshes)

Rg 7 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (16 meshes)

Rg 8 : 15 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (17 meshes)

Rg 9 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (17 meshes)

Rg 10 : 1 augmentation, 16 close-spacing meshes (18 meshes)

Rg 11 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (18 meshes)

Rg 12 : 17 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (19 meshes)

Rg 13 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (19 meshes)

Rg 14 : 1 augmentation, 18 close-spacing meshes (20 meshes)

Rg 15 : 20 close-spacing meshes, 3 air flow meshes (23 meshes)

Rg 16 : 23 close-spacing meshes, 3 air flow meshes (26 meshes)

Rg 17 : 1 augmentation, 24 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (28 meshes)

Rg 18 : 1 augmentation, 26 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (30 meshes)

Rg 19 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (30 meshes)

Rg 20 : 1 augmentation, 28 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (32 meshes)

Rg 21 : 1 augmentation, 30 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (34 meshes)

Rg 22 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (34 meshes)

Rg 23 : 1 augmentation, 32 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (36 meshes)

Rg 24 : 1 augmentation, 34 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (38 meshes)

Rg 25 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (38 meshes)

Rg 26 : 1 augmentation, 36 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (40 meshes)

Rg 27 : 1 augmentation, 38 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation (42 meshes)

Rg 28 à rg 31: 1 close-spacing meshin each mesh (42 meshes)

Rg 32 : 1 diminution, 38 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution (40 meshes)

Rg 33 : 1 diminution, 36 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution (38 meshes)

Rg 34 : 1 diminution, 34 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution (36 meshes)

Rg 35 : 1 diminution, 32 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution (34 meshes)

Rg 36 : 1 diminution, 30 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution (32 meshes)

To finish cut your thread by letting some centimeters out in order to put it through the loop.

STEP 3

For the mushroom's foot, use natura XL white cotton. Restart your work from the mushroom's head lower part at the 11th mesh.

Realize ranks 1 to 18 by following those instructions:

Rg 1 : 12 close-spacing meshes (+ 1 air flow mesh before to work on the other side) (12 meshes)

Rg 2 à 12 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (12 meshes)

Rg 13 : 1 augmentation, 11 close-spacing meshes (13 meshes)

Rg 14 : 1 augmentation, 12 close-spacing meshes (14 meshes)

Rg 15 : 1 augmentation, 13 close-spacing meshes (15 meshes)

Rg 16 : 1 augmentation, 14 close-spacing meshes (16 meshes)

Rg 17 : 1 augmentation, 15 close-spacing meshes (17 meshes)

Rg 18 : 1 diminution, 13 close-spacing meshes, 1 diminution

To end, cut your thread by letting some centimeters out in order to put it in the loop.

Do the same thing for the mushroom's other side.

STEP 4

coussin-champignon-pastel-crochet-coton-natura-XL-DMC--05

To realize the border band, follow those instructions:

Rank1 : Create a little chain of 7 meshes and then add one air flow mesh, to turn your work on the other side, with the white cotton.

Rank 2 to 50 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (7 meshes)

At the 51th rank change the colour.

Rank 51 to 107 : 1 close-spacing mesh in each mesh (7 meshes) with pink cotton.

Cut the thread and then do one drop-stich mesh to finish your work.

STEP 5

Polka dots are in white cotton and will be sewed over the mushroom's head. But before, realize 10 polka dots of three different sizes by following those instructions:

The little one (to realize 4 times) close-spacing mesh, drop-stich mesh, air flow mesh, magic circle, reduction, augmentation.

Rg 1 : Magic circle de 6 close-spacing meshes.

Rg 2 : 2 close-spacing meshes in each mesh (12 meshes) and one drop-stich mesh to finish. Cut your thread at about 20 centimeters (this thread will be used to sew your polka dots).

The middle size (To realize 4 times)

Rg 1 : Magic circle de 6 close-spacing meshes

Rg 2 : 2 close-spacing meshes in each mesh (12 meshes)

Rg 3 : *1 close-spacing mesh, 1 augmentation*, repeat from * to* 5 times (18 meshes) then 1 drop-stich mesh to finish. Cut your thread at about 20 centimeters.

The big one (To realize 2 times

Rg 1 : Magic circle of 6 close-spacing meshes

Rg 2 : 2 close-spacing meshes in each mesh (12 meshes)

Rg 3 : *1 close-spacing mesh, 1 augmentation*, repeat from * to * 5 fois (18 meshes)

Rg 4 : * 2 close-spacing meshes, 1 augmentation*, repeat from * to * 5 fois (24 meshes) then 1 drop-stich mesh to finish. Cut your thread at about 20 centimeters.

STEP 6

Now you're going to put the piece of your mushroom together.

Start by sewing your polka dots on the mushroom's both sides with a wool needle.

Then, put together the contouring band with the mushroom's face, point to point with back stiches.

coussin-champignon-pastel-crochet-coton-natura-XL-DMC--08

Then sew both edges of the contouring band as you can see on the picture.

coussin-champignon-pastel-crochet-coton-natura-XL-DMC--09

Then put together the second front side, point to point with the contouring band, with back stiches. Let the mushroom's foot open and turn your creation upside down.
Stuff it.

Then, close the last stiching.

Your mushroom pillow is now finished. It's going to be so sweet and pretty in your child's room or on your living room's sofa.

To change the colours of the pillow: it's up to you.
